"The Old War Wagon" progressesslowly, but it does progress. I find myself needing to know how long it takes to get a floatplane aloft under
different conditions, from a modern (late 1930's) catapult.
If everything is ready, the plane on standby for a quick launch, how long? (Action imminent, pilot and gunner in ready room)
If the ship's at normal wartime steaming, but not at GQ? (No enemy known to be around, but hostile waters---say North Atlantic, mid 1941)
How long to get another plane onto the catapult after the first one's been launched?
And how long if the ship's in "safe" waters?
(I'm working on different parts of "Old War Wagon" as the mood strikes, but should have a new post tomorrow.)
