- Traditional British Light Infantry - Separate weapons company
- Royal Marine Commando 21 Structure
- US Stryker Battalion
- US Light Infantry Battalion
It would seem to me in light of the type of operations that are being conducted that the traditional british light infantry structure with a separate
weapons company needs to change to reflect 3 combined arms company into something light this....
1 x Motorised Infantry Company (LAV, Warrior etc) - 3 infantry sections with 4 armoured vehicles and 1 weapons co with Javelin, AGL, HMG
2 x Mounted Infantry Company (Bushmaster etc) - Similar but more HMG.
Mortars and snipers remain battalion level assets.
