So I downloaded Springsharp and tried to replicate the HSF Torpedo Boat 1897.

By doing slight tweaking to the "range at speed" information, I get a boat with (just barely) sufficient composite strength. Hey, maybe somebody fudged the endurance data a little, right?

And this is one finely-tuned design: if I add even one more 50mm gun, it's out of tolerance. This is plausible, since the designers were undoubtedly trying to get every little bit of capability possible on the displacement.

But strangely, I can double, triple, hepquinsextuple the number of 450mm torpedoes, and Springsharp likes it just fine. Anybody want a 177 ton TB mounting 177 torpedo tubes?

So, does Springsharp just have a blindspot when it comes to torps and tubes? Am I doing it wrong? Any input would be welcome, folks.
