However, I have a custom built system not Windows. It really limits my "Game" options. So to get around that my system builder included a virtual machine (VMware player) option. It basically allows me to run windows applications. To run Classic Harpoon, even in it's latest release, the VMWare has to emulate Windows XP because Harpoon is written in a 32 bit and XP has that option. Problem is in this mode it is very, very quirky and a real system hog.
So I have been looking for a 64 bit alternative and came across "Command: Modern Air / Naval Operations WOTY"
I installed it about a year ago and found it a real nut buster to learn. Quite frankly I was unwilling to devote the time and effort required until now. It seem to have a lot of potential.
Are any of you "Gamers" familiar with Command? If so, what do you think of it?
Any ideas how I can come up to speed quickly and relatively painlessly?
Is there anything out there that is like "Harpoon Classic" AKA "Naval warfare Sims" other than Command, I'd appreciate learning about those options and your opinions on them.
