I've been asked to create a WW2 modernised and then post war (1960's) refitted Kii class battleship into a guided missile battleship.
I've removed the 3rd 41cm main twin turret and placed a Talos missile launcher in it's place (magazine storage converted to missile storage. With added associated radar equipment
Removed all 14cm casemated and 12,7cm DP-AA as well as the 25mm twin and triple AA guns
In place of the old 12,7 twin DP-AA mounts I put single US 5" Mark 18 (Mark 42) gun turrets with associated US director towers
For the ship to have some limited close range AA capability I've added 3 twin British Bofors Mark V guns per side with associated directors (Same used on the HMS Vanguard)
Added US radars of :
AN/SPS-29 (topmost mast radar on the main superstructure)
AN/SPS-12 (forward viewing small radar on the mainmast aft)
AN/SPS-8 (aft viewing medium sized radar on the mainmast aft, above the AN/SPG-51)
AN/SPG-51 (two sets in front and behind the main AN/SPG-49 missile radars)
AN/SPG-49 (two sets of missile control radars on top of the missile loading house)
