Short Description: Delta-22 has somthing wrong with him.
Full Description:
Yesterday on third watch Delta-22 was given a false assignment by a sailor to repair the cake dryer. Unable to find one, 22 built one and desicated 15 cupcakes from the Warrant officers ward room that had been baked for a retirement party for a senior warrant officer. Please explain to me why this happened, no Able would have ever fallen for such a stupid stunt.
Inform Captain Halsey that we are putting Delta-22 ashore tomorrow when we tie up.

Lt Commander Burke:
Please attach the necessary log information from Delta-22. We would most like to know how the order was issued. Was it verbal or through the AI scheduling system. Please have your senior AI and Delta-22 make contact with the lab immediatly.

Able-38 {aka: 38 Special}:
Mr. Dutch I was in safe mode until 17:59 doing kernel maintenance and was unaware of the incident until 18:00 when I down loaded the watch briefing. I queried Delta-22 and he responded that he received the order via text message from the scheduling system. The password key is missing from his log. There is a possibility that he was hacked from the terminal. Lt. (jg) David Stern does not protect his passwords properly and it may have been obtained by a sailor.
The third officer has started an investigation and I anticipate that the sailor who made the order will be identified soon.

I have received the run log from Delta-22 and and deleted portions reconstructed from Delta-22's binary dump. It appears that an order was issued to him by what he recognized as the ship's executive officer. Able-38 determined that Lt.(jg) Stern's password was not used in the order, and the Curtis Wilbur's resident prankster Second class Petty Officer Steven J. Anderson was handling a wrench in an engineering space at the time. This was confirmed by Seaman Robert Beaumont, Seaman Tony J. Alexander, and Critter #4000.23.

Added by Captain Raymond Halsey, Deputy Commander USN Bureau of AI, Thursday 14:20 Zulu:

Dr. Meyers has been assigned to Audit this incident as well as to lead the investigation. I'm switching this ticket to "high" priority and marking it confidential. Lt-jg Stern was written up recently for not defending his password vigorously. His password has been reset and his access reenstated as Forth fleet AI security has determined that he had nothing to do with this incident. Able-38 has been reminded about confidentiality on such subjects. It should be remembered that AI see personal failures as malfunctions rather than flaws in character.

Delta-22 has flown into Virginia and will be at the Bureau HQ shortly for debriefing. Able-38 has sent all the logs from the AI scheduling system in to the Lab and the Mainframe has begun to analyze them. Mr. Computer (the Mainframe) has informed me that it expects to have results by 16:00 today.

Added by Captain Raymond Halsey, Deputy Commander USN Bureau of AI, Thursday 22:00 Zulu:

I'm still reading Mr. Computer's analysis and results, I finding it troubling. While the act might not have been criminal in nature its possible that a flaw in the Delta series my have been discovered. I'm going to meet with the SECDEF in the morning about this problem.
Added By Central System Computer {aka Mr. Computer} Thursday 22:15 Zulu:

I have encrypted my report and placed it on the FTP server. In order to copy it to your location you must employ a secure FTP utility. 256-bit encryption has been used as per lab standard.
