Overall, a ten second firing cycle seems fairly typical for guns in this caliber range, e.g., the USN's 6in/53, the RN's 6in guns (at
least in single or twin mounts), etc. The 6in/47 (except on the Eries) was almost certainly faster, as RN's 6in guns and the USN's 6in/53 (and the 6in
on the Eries) used bag charges.
