35cm/45 Naval Rifle.

-----Total weight = 3,478 (metric) tons.
38cm/45 Naval Rifle.

4 x twin turrets @ 850 (metric) tons each = 3,400 (metric) tons.
-----Total weight = 4,040.
Difference = 562 (metric) tons.
35cm/45 APC shell. 600 kg.
38cm/45 APC shell. 750 kg. 25% increase in shell weight.
Mackensen class max displacement = 35,300. 66 million marks.
Yorck class max displacement = 38,000. 75 million marks. 14% increase in ship cost.
I expect the LettersTime Mackensen and Yorck class BCs to be constructed to modified designs that incorporate combat experience. However the cost relationship should be similiar. Using the larger 38cm/45 naval rifle results in a BC that is 14% more expensive and fires shells that are 25% heavier. In my opinion that is money well spent.
