Correct, there is an unformed reserve. In this scenario you can bet your bottom dollar that every soldier who has left over the last year ore two years will be back in uniform and the three years after that will be retraining. However, NZ reserves, unless they are territorial or RNZNVR do not have a training commitment that I am aware of.
