I think you're probably spending a little bit more than me. I have a 15-20 minute commute every morning to the station at which point the train takes the
strain.
I forget exactly how much fuel my car takes, but it used to be that I would struggle to get £30 worth into the tank, only if I filled it right up to the brim. Last time I filled up it was about £35, IIRC, so I'm really beginning to notice the difference.
On top of that there is now the added worry that Grangemouth might go on strike again and cause a fuel shortage. Thank God my car is pretty fuel efficient and I can get about two and a half to three weeks out of the tank.
IIRC about 2/3rds of our petrol cost is tax.
