Fairey Delta III is more primative than the F4K in radar and missile technology. Red Hebe is unlikely to enter service with the full spec, able to switch from SARH to ARH at 4nm, they where finding it too difficult at the time. But its possible they could achieve it later on in the 60s. Though its likely the AI18-lightweight set, would have a 40inch dish
A possible alternative might be the US system used on the 'fighter' Blackbird, with AIM-47 Falcon AAMs.

Saro P177 lacks a radar guided AAM, which would become a priority with the move away from rockets and is likely to have at best a short detection range against a Canberra sized bomber. But a SARH AAM would permit head on engagements if such can be integrated with the aircraft, alas its radar seems to be 18 inches in diameter which is a major limiting factor. Thus it will never match a F8 or F104 for radar in terms of detection range.

CAP Buccaneer and a later offering where limited to around mach 1.5, though the radar could be as large as 32 inches diameter.

HS1154-RAF used a variant of the AI.23 AIRPASS system, so unless Ferrranti really have cracked it with their PD J-band seeker head for Red Top II then this machine will be limited to IR AAMs only. The Digital INS was dropped for a analogue set on the Harrier which bar the radar is the best representative for the avionics fit for the 1154. A number might be built with the Jaguars system instead.

OR346 types are a problem.
Radarwise, we see what maybe three options. Fighter versions all have the 36 inch dish.

Missilewise the choice is BAC's OR346 missile, a 'winged' missile I think a x-band CW SARH seeker.
HSD (DHP) Family studies, these may use that PD seeker.

CF299 SeaDart modified for an AAM, but the ramjet was too touchy for manouvering and the guidance system too crude.

So in some areas like supersonic performance or low take off and landing speeds these UK designs are very good, but in terms of avionics its a far more patchy affair, and in terms of the AAM's somewhat dismal. They have their good points which compared to the likes of the Lightning and Jaguar are VERY good, but in comparison to the F4, F111 and F14 are let down by avionics.

Considering export sales, this is a very different world and its far too much speculation to say what is happening by the 1980s.
P177 was in negotiation with Heinkel for Germany, instead they choose the F104 after its cancelation, and produced over 900 machines.
