A JTF for the capital is in readiness to support security but has no forces. You guys (voters) don't give us the funding or the force structure to maintain even that at the necessary levels. and you are suggesting we fortify and man every potential target set in the country? get real. what brand of crack are you smoking?

I was mainly curious as to whether or not, in starting this discussion, as to how well the personnel at MacDill AFB would be able to repel an attack, because I
imagine there could be serious short term consequences in coordination if the key personnel in CentCom were all eliminated while assumingly directing or
preparing to direct a war effort against the host country of the commando operation.
But let's assume for a second that Hillary is elected into office, and following the example set by her husband, throws the military and intelligence services budgets into the shitter, forcing the CIA and military cut back on either foriegn spending or local spending for their services. Does that aid the chances of a successful operation on US Soil? Of course, on the downside to just about any attack on US Soil, unless the goverments tries to cover it up, the only thing it will produce is outrage by the American public. But speaking of MacDill AFB, is anyone going to the airshow on Saturday and Sunday? I'll be heading there this Sunday with a couple of friends in tow. Parking and Attendance is free, and the Canadian snowbirds are performing, along with demonstrations by numerous aircraft, including the F4 Phantom and F-104 Freedom Fighter.
