Cheers. I think most of the cruising ship actions of that era let us know what is going to happen when a ship, even a very strong one is dismasted and facing
two enemies. Writing any more would be a bit like clubbing baby sails. Better I thought, to let the sand run out in the watch glass......

I wouldnt be upset about not beeing a plank owner. She sailed better after being cut down anyway!

One nit, you describe the ship as sailing west out of Boston Harbor........shouldn't that be east? Might double check the British as well, you mention
the ships sailing west to Halifax as well. Think that would be the long way around.

I was remiss in not posting earlier. Nice job with this one. I, too, don't know much about how these great ships functioned, though I have some idea of
what they look like, from visits to the USS Constitution. Thanks for sharing this tale...can't wait for more.
