The Hurtig-class FAC are large "bluewater" FACs for work in the Baltics and North Sea but also capable to transit and work in the colonies. Her size gives her a staying power which no other FACs has, especially endurance. The size is also needed to carry the heavy RB08C SSM. I try to put in some new design philosophy by making FAC larger than the usual 30-50m. It gives you a real ship instead of a wellarmed brownwater sportscar. But you still keep the good features of a FAC.
