Can anyone do a comparison chart of the above ships with those Shipbucket images? It would be interesting to see how the three compare.

See the GB drawings which start on page 3. The collection has recently been reorganised and many drawings re-categorised to make it easier to distinguish between fictional, conceptual and actual designs. You can quiet easily cobble together a comparison chart using any simple graphics program. Several of us actually use Paint in the production of many of our drawings.

Hi,
"Several of us actually use Paint in the production of many of our drawings." Which is amazing in itself:-)))) For anybody who doesn´t have photoshop and wants to give it a try, I suggest Gimp. Anyway, here you go. Note that the County class is actually depicted out of scale. It was drawn before MihoshiK established the 2 pixel = 1 foot rule.
Hope you like it anyway. Regards.

Excellent work, fellas. Always good value. It's immediately apparent that T45 is heaps bigger than T42 (we already knew that) but - obviously due to the clean, stealthy lines - she looks more compact than Bristol. I'd imagine the same comparison would apply with the County class. (BTW, did anyone else notice that there should be only one 'R' in Norfolk?) Cheers, Cliff. |

You can use a program called PAINT.net . Free, small(2 Mb), and effective(layers, effects...). It is availible for a free download, just google.
I actually also use MS paint for basic lines, beats any other program for simplicity.

I recommend GIMP- has all the functionality of photoshop. Perhaps not as simple as Paint, but I find that I quickly get to the limit of what tool can do.
www.gimp.org Don't worry, this is a work safe site!

Thanks chaps, I'm quite suprised that the T45 doesn't look that much bigger than anything else. I suppose the greater beam doesn't show on these
images.

The Counties were definetly built on the lines of a WWII light cruiser, ergo very long and slender.
