USN AI Presents
I Can Not Get a Signal -- Part 1
Hanger Deck USS Wasp, Present Day . . .
Able-86 is sitting on the hanger deck in the AI repair bay, just sitting. Third class petty officer Charles Albert pokes around him with his AI program palm pilot trying to get a signal from him. Able-55 pulls up slowly and very cautiously touches him and tries to get a signal from him. Fifty-five's eyes turn from green to black and he is still for a minute. Then his eyes flash green and the door to his USB connection pops open and he pulls out his cord.
"Your going to make a hard connection?"
"Yes, I know you need authorization. I doubt I will get in trouble, I can not even a read on his sync pulse."
"Alright," remarks Albert as Fifty-five opens Eighty-six's USB port's door.
Fifty-five connects the cable and finds nothing on the other side. He runs the remote power connection and is able to recover a core dump from Eighty-six's flash memory. He down loads the full file and e-mails it back to the lab. He then turns to Mr. Albert.
"He's gone."
To be continued . . .
