Kii layout description:
The main armament forward is located in "A" and "B" positions, with the "B" turret being the one superfiring. The bridge, superstructre, and a single large funnel are located forwards of the mid-break, the bridge being in the form of a Pagoda mast. The 13mm machine guns are located on the bridge mast. The 12x5" guns located on the sides are here, with the second turret being a superfiring one. The last 5" mount is located just aft of the mainbreak, and is superfiring to bring it up to the level of the forward deck. Aft of the 5" mount is the flightdeck, with the elevator located in the forward section, and the two catapults located aft of the elevator. The final 14" mount is located aft of the catapults, and the top of the turret is level with the flightdeck. The hangar for the floatplanes is located under the flightdeck, and has enough capacity to carry eight floatplanes, H6K Emily types when the ships are completed. With the aft 14" turret, it's barbette, and ammunition stowage located in the very aft part of the ship, the ship's machinerey is located under the hangar, with long shafts running underneath the aft 14" to the screws in the rear of the ship. That should suffice for now. Any additional questions? I tried to come up with a line drawing, but when that failed (due to my suckiness at working with drawing programs) I came up with this description instead. Oh, and the layout for the 25mm cannons; One mount is located between the 5" guns located on the side of the superstructres, and the remaining four mounts are located on either side of the flightdeck. |
