What do you guys think is the most aesthetically pleasing to the eye battleship of all time?
Ive always thought the Scharnhorst & Gneisenau had beautiful lines and superstructure. Followed closely by them "Iowas".

HMS Vanguard (1946) - clean, classic lines, long enough to avoid the 'dumpy' look of earlier ships and very seaworthy with it. A very close second
would be the Lions/Queen Mary, for the same reasons.

The US Colorado class with the two cage masts. Catch them at the right angle and they're as elegant as sailing frigates.

I always thought that the reconstructed Kongos and Nagatos looked great.

So there you, asking about a chaps taste in battleships is bit like his questioning his taste in women! I like Kristen Scott Thomas and Nicole Kidman, some of
you are obviously Dolly Parton fans...

Either the Derfflingers - very handsome IMO with functional and clean lines - or HMS Tiger...

A tricky one. Hood has to be up there, as does Tiger, but I've always had a bit of a thing for Warspite and her sisters. Pre-reconstruction, of course.

The Austro-Hungarian Erzherzog-class predreadnoughts are also fine looking. The Queen Elizabeths as launched are beautiful - Ramming bow and 15'' guns
:-)
