I prefer the old layout, easier to use and you didn't need to scroll through all the messages.

Agreed. The time zone has also drifted considerably off from GMT

If you click on your own username, then look on the left toward the bottom of the page, there's a box that says "Account." In that box, click on
"settings," then on the time zone tab. You can then set whatever time zone you want.
Still haven't figured out how to view posts individually, though. |

I knew it was too good to be true... after going through numerous boards almost every week several years ago we had far too long a period of stability and boy
has this period ended. What the hell is "yuku" and apart from having one too many letters on the end to describe itself, why is it so crap?

It's ezBoard's new interface and site. They are migrating boards over to it. I don't know why precisely this site made the switch. I hope that the
settings for threaded discussion are still in the configuration somewhere, and I am sure that the administrators will find them eventually if they are there.

It looks as if it's made for awkward 14 year old girls what with features such as "tags" and "kudos" !

On the old board you had the option to be e-mailed when someone replied to a topic you'd posted on - without threads this is even more useful, but it seems that we've lost this feature - unless anyone out there can point me in the right direction? |

What is 'kudos' supposed to indicate?
This interface is "bitty" and too spread out with key commands not made obvious or intuitive. But isn't this in the longest tradition of warships1? We always complain when there's a format change. We whinged bitterly at the last one, but it has to be said that the last one was better laid out and designed than this one.

Can't find 'account' or settings. All I see is adverts for getting a hot date or signing up to MySpace. Edit: the quote function is also crap. Does not differentiate well between Theodore's comment and my own, so I have inserted a dotted line.

MSR,
Are you logged in? If you are and still can't find it, it might be a browser thing. All, I spent a few hours last night trying to make things look a little more familiar. However, apparently the threaded format is not currently available. I am trying to find out if and when it will be. Rest assured, we'll go back to it the moment it is. In the meantime, if there are any other issues, please let me know and I'll see what I can do. |

The old format was a nightmare. This is better. Enough said.

I never thought I would say this, but I too prefer the old one!
Nevermind, I'm sure we're get things back to how it all was before too long. Certainly a few options to play around with. I take it the general concensus is back to the one message at a time system? Personally, i quite like this format - just not the colours! |

I don't like the current format - I prefer the one message at a time format. Of course, when this forum was on ezBoard, every user could choose
individually whether to view the threads with several messages per page, or just one message at a time.
The fact that you needed to know was not known at the time that the now known need to know was known, therefore those that needed to advise and inform the Home Secretary perhaps felt the information he needed as to whether to inform the highest authority of the known information was not yet known and therefore there was no authority for the authority to be informed because the need to know was not, at that time, known or needed.

Is there anyway to see what replies you have read, and what ones you haven't? The old one marked them in red and blue, so you knew, but this one
doesn't seem to have that feature (or have I not found it?).
