French commandoes have carried out a helicopter raid against a group of Somali pirates soon after they released 30 hostages from a luxury French yacht.

Gen Jean-Louis Georgelin said troops moved in after the Ponant came ashore, seized six pirates and probably found part of a ransom paid by its owners.

Local officials said at least three people died in the raid, but France denied there had been any casualties

Cruiser with a heavy Machine Gun, often a ZPU-2 14,5mm twin AA gun (See <a target="_blank" href="http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/row/zpu-2.htm">fas.org</a>). With a
range of 1.500 meters and a firing rate of 600 rounds per minute and barrel, these could seriously spoil your day when you don&#39;t expect them.

<p> Magic.  I think the current pirates use RPG&#39;s, machine guns, and similar modern, albeit not necessarily brand-new, weapons, but I tend to think
criminals should be arrested, with no extraneous casualties, so they can be tried and imprisoned for a very long time.  I do think that actions like... ]]></description>
