I have to agree with Psilander, Aegis itself is quite expensive and since the projected ship lacks SAM capacity, appart from point defence, it is doubtfull the
system has any function at all. Only the inclusion of SM-1 or so would justify Aegis. Since that is not the case, it can be abbandoned.

In general concept, the propposed vessel may look very simmilar to the already available Type-23 frigate of the Royal Navy and the German Brandenburg Class.
Both do however have slighly...

Why use the AEGIS, isn't both quite old, expensive and to complex for a "budget ship".

I'd go with either Ericsom Giraffe AMB or a similar radar and CEROS FC which also can control ESSM (used in the RAN). for C2I system i'd buy a good one
but not to complex to keep the costs down. C2I and sensors are the most expensive things on ships and for a buget escort AGEIS is just to much.

If you want to leave out radar-guided SAMs, you can drop AEGIS/SPY-1 and use one of the rotating phased arrays used in LCS and other low-end combatants
(TRS-3D, Sea Giraffe AMB, MRR, etc.) Those are a much more economical match to a RAM-based air-defense suite. If you're relying on RAM, install two
launchers (perhaps Sea RAM) for redundancy.

Went without the AEGIS (since I don't have anything other than Harpoons/Exocets and RAMs anyways) and...
