Since nothing new is happening to the format of the board and all comment on it dried up some time ago, can we de-sticky this post and let it drop?

I was thinking that. Apparently we have a lot of lurkers here who are interested in CV(F) since nearly 4.3 billion people have read the thread. Nice to know people are interested in the RN so much!!!

I was going to say the new system is absolute bollox, but it seems normality (at least post normality post Yuku (PY)) has returned.

I agree - the execution of this particular threaded view is appallingly bad. I continue to think, as do a fair number of people, that a threaded option is needed - but it should be optional, as it was under ezBoard, and it should work properly, which this does not. Score another one for Yuku. It will be changed momentarily.

Have to say, although I was originally in favour of Threaded view, that was based on the mistaken belief that the threads would work like EZBoard - they don't, and as stated by others, they're making the board unreadable.

Theodore - I hate having to ask this, but can you turn threads OFF again? And then can we (or rather you, representing the Board as a whole) send the Yuku developers a clear message about what we want, in the hope that they can fix things?

Is this repelent viewmode optional? I don't want it.
I want to see all posts. I don't care for threaded view, I very rarely used this feature. I voted for threaded view out of group solidarity.

All of the whining has result in a giant step backward to 1994! This is the worst threaded format I've seen in recent memory and it make the forum almost impossible to browse through. I know there are more than a few elderly posters, but this sort of format is deplorable for even the most technology adverse users.

I can't find an option to collapse a thread when not viewing it. Unfortunately, this means that the RN board has become the Yaku thread board!

Despite my earlier comments, perhaps threads aren't going to work after all :-(

I prefer the system we had before - as still used in Battleships, land Forces, etc.

You can scan down a large number of threads without having to wait for page after page to load.

Plus the current system looks unattractive.

It's a big turn off.

Thsi new format is almost unusable. I was quite happy to with the old method. This is clunky and slow and puts me off posting. Just my 2p.

I prefer the old layout, easier to use and you didn't need to scroll through all the messages.
