I´d love that. Much as I had loved to see a German Rotterdam (which was looked at as part of the ETrUS back in the late 90s). Though considering the history of
the post-cold war German LPD/LSD/LSL (what ever :-)) procurement projects and the kind of political support (or the lack of it for that matter) I don´t have
much hope that such a vessel will slip into the water on this side of the North See.

			<description><![CDATA[ I don't know much about the F125, but my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) is that the Germans wanted to &quot;navalize&quot; the land-based MLRS, i.e. use the GMLRS rocket from the existing 12-rocket launcher. This would mean providing the land-version 12-rocket launcher with some form of stabilization and give some reload capability with a dedicated magazine.<br>

			<description><![CDATA[ From the stated mission profile of the F125, it seems they would have been better adding a few thousand tonnes to the design and constructing a small amphib instead.  A single well dock for a variety of craft from RHIBs up to an LCVP would add a great deal of capability and flexibility.  Imagine a bigger version of the Danish Flexible Support Ship with a well dock instead of a flex deck.  But I suppose a design like that would be far too politically contentious! <br>

It seems to me that these new frigates will have less combat capabilities than the warships they will replace, but for the 127/64 (for sure a powerful asset) and a few 12,7mm machine guns...<br>
