			<description><![CDATA[ As the title says, are there any ships built before or during WW2 still in active service with any navy? I don&#39;t want to know about training ships (USCGC
Eagle, HMS Caroline, etc.) or commissioned museum ships/memorials (e.g. Arizona), just active warships. The last ones I know of are the Brazilian carrier NAeL
Minas Gerais (ex-HMS Vengeance, decommissioned 2001) and the Taiwanese Chao Yang destroyers (US Gearing class ships, of which the last went out of service in
the late 2000s).

Anyway, the HMS Warrior advocates seemed to think 1860's US armor plate was pure crap. In effect, it did the job but only because the CSA was using even worse stuff. <br>

Now I think that arguement is BS. <br>

After all, I never heard that the UK had naval guns any better than what we had at the time. Their Fire control was certainly no better... ]]></description>

She'll be supplementing the four sealift ships (1 LST, 1 LSDs, 1 AP), replacing a converted freighter already deleted (can't recall the name) which didn't quite live to her expectations.<br>
