The ship was found about 50km due east off the south tip of Moreton Island, which is the next island over from Bribie Island. This hospital ship was sunk by a Japanese submarine in 1943, reportedly.

Apparently in over 2000 metres of water.

I am aware that the HMCS Prince Robert and HMCS Prince David were a couple of the ships there and at least one of them later joined Admiral Fraser's RN Task Force 57 in the Pacific along with the cruiser HMCS Uganda by 1945.
