Did the Jagdtiger's 128mm/L55 gun have far superior armour penetration ability than the IS2's smaller, but IIRC longer, 122mm gun? I've read that Soviet 122mm tank guns were used mostly for their large high explosive rounds, and thus far good anti personnel fire, but limited anti-tank.
