			<description><![CDATA[ According to the May 2008 edition of Ships Monthly, The French Cruiser Colbert, which has been &#39;on display&#39; at Bordeaux since 1993, is to be towed to
Brest for use as a spares resovoir for ships &#39;of the same generation&#39; still in service. After this, she will be scrapped. A sad end for a fine ship.
The tow is scheduled for 29th May, Weather permitting.

I took some photos of the 4 frigates F101 SPS Alvaro de Bazan, F103 SPS Blas De Lezo (Spain),F209 Rheinland-Pfalz (Germany)  and F330 Vasco de Gama (Portugal)

Unforunately the position of the sun made it very difficult to take good photo&#39;s of the German and Portugese ships, so I&#39;ll only post the best pictures
of the spanish frigates.

I am wondering if any Western navy had ever contemplated an anti-nuclear submarine role for its conventional submarines.

The navies of the UK, Netherlands and Norway had diesel/electric submarines and their main operational areas were the Norwegian Sea, North Sea and GIUK gap
AFAIK (not sure about the Barents Sea). My speculation is that the Norwegian navy&#39;s diesel/electric boats could have had a fair chance of meeting Russian
nuclear ones.
